Paycheck Calculator Disclaimer

PaystubLedger is a planning tool. Its results are estimates, not a pay stub, tax return or promise of the amount your employer will deposit.

What the calculation assumes

The calculator annualizes one job's ordinary wage income. It supports single and married-filing-jointly status, the basic standard deduction, the selected pay frequency and the listed states. Hourly results use the paid hours and weeks you enter. The tax rules are tagged to 2026. Read the calculation method for the line-by-line explanation.

What can change your actual pay

Employer withholding depends on your Form W-4 and state forms, payroll timing, other jobs, dependents, credits, pretax deductions, benefits, bonuses and local taxes. Many of these are outside this calculator. The result can therefore differ from a real paycheck or final tax liability, even when your gross wage is correct.

Information and decisions

The site provides general educational information, not individualized tax, legal or financial advice. Tax rules and official guidance can change. Each state calculator links to its official sources, as shown on the California calculator. The IRS 2026 federal rates are also available for review. We cannot guarantee that an estimate fits your circumstances. Check your employer's pay statement and current official guidance; seek qualified advice when a decision depends on an exact amount.
